Excavation of an area adjacent to the site of Bremore Castle,
Balbriggan, commenced in April 2001 in advance of a large-scale housing
development to the north of a medieval complex. Close to the castle a pit was
excavated, containing a large amount of late medieval pottery and a slate
sundial, of late medieval date. Lat 53° 37' North Long 6° 11' West Irish Grid N 319770 264550 |
